Combat & Martial Arts Classes

Cardio Combat–Prepare yourself for In Motion’s newest personal trainer taught class.  A hybrid of DJ dance music and choreographed MMA/ boxing moves; our upbeat motivational instructor will help you increase your cardiovascular endurance levels while melting the tensions of the day away.  Learn powerful MMA, Boxing, Tai Chi and Kick boxing moves while toning and sculpting your body.  A must try for your new year’s resolution.  Member price $25/month.

Karate: Are you interested in self-defense? Do you want to have fun and get in shape? KARATE IS FOR YOU! IMF Karate Black Belt Instructors have more than 20 years of experience. Earn a black belt; develop flexibility, strength, stamina and confidence. Improve your health. You will learn practical skills in a high energy and fun environment. Mario’s Ultimate Workout: The ultimate in interval training utilizing MMA and Boxing techniques. This physically intense exercise program is designed to increase balance, flexibility and coordination, lose fat, tone muscle and gain mental and physical toughness. You will learn the correct way to jab, upper cut, hook, cross, elbow and knee to protect yourself. Class includes heavy bags, grabbing dummies, focus mitts and speed ball!  Member price = $100/month

Taekwondo – At Chico Taekwondo Academy we share with our students all the values that this Martial Art has to offer. We teach them how to be Confident but humble, Powerful but easy going, Skillful, but a peacemaker.  $75/month 1st family; $120/month 2 family members; $150/month 3 family members; +$35 for additional family members. Cross Challenge: Level 2

Weakness will no longer be a word in your vocabulary when you accept the “challenge” and train your way to the next level of fitness. Your mind will be “challenged” to focus as your body is conditioned to meet the demands of strength, endurance, and interval training. The training technique will force you to cross the line of “I won’t” and break through the barrier of “I can’t”. A body will never change without challenge so take yourself to the next level with Cross Challenge.  2 x week = $80/month     *3 x week = $100/month

EXTREME CHALLENGE: Level 3

Maximum Output Cross Training: Using basic fundamental fitness principles, In Mo Cross Training will challenge a person’s strength, stamina, adaptability and desire to push to their maximum potential. Cross Fitness specializes in not specializing in anything in a short period of time. With personal assistance from our experienced trainers progressive workouts will be given and recorded.  3 x week = $100/month

Lunch Express Challenge

30 minutes to PROPEL yourself to an all NEW level of fitness~IN-OUT-DONE! Never say can’t!  2 x week 1/2 hour = $40 /month; 3 x week 1/2 hour = $50/month

 

SuperHit (Super High Intensity Training)

Its back. It’s better than ever! It’s time efficient and incorporates strength, flexibility and cardio in the same workout! Strength exercises are combined with endurance/aerobic exercises, to incorporate the benefits of both a cardiovascular and strength training workout. Break out of your old routine and GET THE RESULTS you are looking for. Gain muscle, increase metabolism, increase cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and muscular endurance while you lose fat!  2 x week = $80/month

In Mo Crossfit™

CrossFit WOD: CrossFit is an experience.  It’s like nothing you have ever done before.  Once you try it, you will be hooked.   You will push yourself farther than you ever have and find strength that you didn’t know existed.  CrossFit is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience.  Is it  intense?  YES…. BUT  you can scale it to your ability.  Once you try it, you WILL come back.  Each exercise is SCALED meaning, if you can only swing a 10# Kettlebell, then we won’t make you swing a 35#.    Be part of the Elite…sign up today!  2 x week = $80/month; 3 x week $100/month; Unlimited $129/month. Must complete an “CrossFit 101” class or a one-on-one session with a Certified/Level 1 CrossFit Trainer before being invited to our WOD’s because your form is everything!  

CrossFit Level 1:  CrossFit training is a great way to get back In shape, get in shape for the first time, recover from an injury and improve your health.  We will teach you how to increase the intensity of the basic movements’ commonly encountered In CrossFit workouts.  This is your opportunity to become more familiar with CrossFit movements and “ramp up” to the intensity of the CrossFit “WOD” classes.  We limit our Level 1 classes to six participants per class in order to provide the most personal attention as you learn.  Our goal is not to just take you through the movement, but to help you understand fitness. Perquisite for CrossFit “WOD”.  2 x week = $80/month; 3 x week $100/month; Unlimited $129/month.

CrossFit – 101: WELCOME and INTRODUCTION

“The emphasis of the On-Ramp is on skill development and exposure to our basic movements. It is designed to prepare you to enter our CrossFit Program. We are going to be hammering technique—both to ensure your safety—and success at the next level.”  We will introduce you to technique and mechanics first, then intensity. We will be showing you movements that begin with the relatively non technical and progressively more technical. It’s important that you are here for each session as these movements build on one another. There will be a workout at the end of each session which will get progressively more challenging as the course progresses. The difficulty of these workouts is ultimately in your hands…the degree that you push yourself will determine how much suffering goes on. The class is called “On Ramp” for a specific reason…we want to ramp you up to the level of intensity and output that is inherent in our group classes.

Shifts in body composition are one of the most motivating ways to measure success. We highly encourage you to take “Before” pictures at the beginning of the On-Ramp class.  Class size is limited.  5 session price $60.

CrossFit: CrossFit is constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement. The aim of which is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. IMF is fortunate to have 8 CrossFit level One Certified Trainers. Each trainer brings a unique dimension (and programing) to the classes he/she teaches, while following the basic Cross Fit guidelines. You are welcome to visit any CrossFit class to determine which best fits your style and schedule. Unlimited CrossFit clients can rotate within the classes signified by the black boxes with red font or the white boxes with the black font. To ensure proper form, training, safety and initial comfort for all attendees it is highly recommended that participants complete a 101 class or one-on-one sessions with a CrossFit Level One Certified Trainer. CrossFit Lunch X-Press: 1 hour class with a 30 minute option to PROPEL yourself to an all NEW level of fitness~IN-OUT-DONE!

CrossFit Power Hour: Power through your P.R.’s and really see what you are capable of. This class focuses primarily on instructing and improving technical execution of olympic and power lifts.

Wellness Challenge

Beginner Level Group Training Class is designed for wellness group members who are ready for a change but have more limitations such as: • Joint Replacements • Balance Issues

Advanced Level Group Training Class is a more advanced personal training class that will push your physical limitations. Both Classes will incorporate new exercises, a varied exercise program, balance & agility training, strength training & cardiovascular training.

OCR Training: Emphasis on skill and stamina needed to perform in a Tough Mudder and Spartan Race. Gradual progression to prepare for the event.

Youth Programs

Kids Cross Training – A strength-and-conditioning program that is specially designed for kids and teenagers and their specific developmental needs and helps them to develop a lifelong love of fitness. In a group setting, children and teens participate in fun and engaging workouts that deliver measurable results and prepare them to be well-rounded athletes.

Supervised YoFit – Follow-up your YoFit orientation and start a regular weekly workout program. Gain strength, cardiovascular fitness, and flexibility while building camaraderie with other IMF youth. Ages: 7-13. Prerequisite: Successful completion of YoFit 1 assessment and orientation.

Teen Cross Training – A strength and conditioning program designed for 13-17 years old athletes and non-athletes alike. The program combines age-appropriate weightlifting and gymnastics with high intensity training to deliver optimal fitness and performance, as well as establish a lifetime love of fitness. Proper weightlifting techniques are taught, under the watchful eye of our Crossfit certified trainers, to enhance strength and power, while also focusing on basic gymnastics to increase agility, mobility and flexibility.

Teen Olympic Weightlifting – Safe, fun and its benefits are many. It has no equal for developing speed, flexibility, coordination, force, power and total body strength muscle. Whether your child is interested in excelling their performance in sports, increasing their fitness or competing in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, then this program is for them! (invitation only)

Teen Sport Conditioning – Physical conditioning can be defined as a process involving the improvement of motor skills and functional (energetic) abilities, morphological characteristics, an athlete’s health status and the continuous improvement of the skills responsible for all of these aspects. Our Sports conditioning class program is based on the concept of periodization, which manipulates frequency, duration, intensity, volume and specificity.

Taekwondo for Kids – It’s not about teaching them how to fight! It’s about discipline, values, self-esteem, confidence, focus and concentration. At Chico Taekwondo Academy we share with our students all the values that this Martial Art has to offer.
