What type of rules and regulations will I need to follow?

Please see attached WELCOME PACKET of our facility. Each member 13 years and over must check in at the front desk with their own member ID to enter then facility. All members are required to have a picture on file (in our system). All members (and their guests) will be obligated to comply with such rules, regulations and club policies. In Motion reserves the right to change rules and regulations at any time.

What membership options are available at In Motion?

In Motion Fitness memberships are designed to be flexible for you and your unique needs. We offer short term (1, 3, and 6 mo.) commitments, along with long term contracts (1, 2 and 3 year options) and also pre-pay options as well. We also offer a month to month option. What membership “types” are available at In Motion?

We offer single, couple, Family, Senior Single and Senior Couple. A Family consists of 2 adults and two children (under the age of 21). Everyone must live in the same household. Senior memberships start at age 60.

How do I make changes to my account?

If you wish to make changes to your account (add / delete members, change of address, billing information, etc.) please contact our membership department. You will be required to fill out an “Action Request Form”. Status changes must be requested 30 days in advance of the change. PLEASE NOTE: Absolutely no retroactive changes will be permitted.

Can I add more members to my account?

Yes! All additions must be immediate family or legal guardianship (with proof). Depending on the age of the additions, the rates are as follows (per month): 21 and older = $30/mo. Ages 15 to 20 = $15/mo. Up to age 14 = $5/mo.

What about temporary Adds to my membership?

Temporary additions are permitted as well. You can temporary add (up to 30 days) additional members to your account at these rates: $15 processing fee. Up to age 21 = $25/mo. 21 and older = $40/mo.

Can I put my membership on Hold?

Yes. Holds require a process fee and monthly maintenance fees (total of $30). Holds will be in whole month increments. Medical holds require physicians note and are not retroactive.

How long can I put a membership on Hold?

Hold durations can be up to 6 month (with extensions after 6 months – for maximum of 1 year – with Doctors approval.)

When is my bill due?

For monthly statement billings, dues are payable by the 1st day of the month and are late after the 10th . For monthly EFT payments, an electronic funds transfer will be deducted after the 4th day of the month. Dues are posted on the 4th unless the 4th lands on a weekend or holiday. In this case, dues will be posted the following business day. Generally speaking, members will see dues pulled from their bank account anywhere between the 4th and the 8th of each month, depending on the bank. PLEASE NOTE: In Motion does not provide debit/EFT notices.

Is there Service Fees Associated with my membership?

Yes. There is a late fee if payment is not received by the 10 th of the month ($25). Electronic decline/denial fee ($25). Processing fee ($15). Monthly Maintenance fee ($15). PLEASE NOTE: Service fees are subject to change.

How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel a membership, IMF requires 30 days advance written notice. In order to cancel a membership, one must either go to In Motion (in person) and fill out our Cancellation Form, or mail in the cancellation request. If you decide to mail, we suggest certified mail. PLEASE NOTE: Memberships cannot be cancelled via fax, phone or e-mail.

Is there a fee associated with canceling a membership?

If you have fulfilled your contract terms (1, 2 or 3 year terms), and you have given us a 30 day notice, there is no fee to cancel. PLEASE NOTE: 1, 2 and 3 year agreements will automatically adjust to the monthly rate at the end of the contracted term. At the end of the agreement period, the membership will continue on a month-to- month basis until cancelled.

Is there a fee associated with cancelling a membership early?

Member acknowledges that an agreement cannot be cancelled before the minimum term has expired. A cancellation fee of $100 is due if membership is cancelled prior to the ½ life of the membership. After you have full-filled 50% or more, a $50 cancellation fee is due in order to cancel. Please refer to membership contract in regards to death or/ disability, and members moving 25 miles away from In Motion Fitness.

Why do cancellations have to be in writing?

As with any changes to a membership, we require a cancellation request in writing to ensure an authorized member is requesting the cancellation.

As a member, may I bring a guest?

Yes you may. The fee is $15 per day, per guest. Guests must adhere to our club policies and procedures.

How many people/memberships are required at a company/business for a corporate rate?

Corporate discounts are available for companies with a minimum of 10 memberships. Please contact Sara Nielsen at for more information.
